I don’t really understand what just happened. We left for Camp Davis on Friday, filled with Spring fever – having recently potted plants around the apartment and eaten dinner on the balcony…
…only to wake up to this:
The snowfall is only now tapering off. I’ll be honest, I gave this “storm” exactly zero percent chance of coming to fruition. Sure, maybe some wintry mix, but not actual snowy accumulation. All the snowpocalypse-maggedon-quester hype has left me in the snow-fun cynic camp.
I don’t know how this affects the Cherry Blossoms, which I’ve been eagerly awaiting since we hit March, and it certainly messes with my visions of The White House Easter Egg Roll (which Nat’s mom scored us tickets to this year!). For another day at least, my Spring Fever is forced into remission. And I Do Not Like It.
Here’s hoping your Monday commute wasn’t too much of a slushy mess and that we’re back admiring the budding flora in no time.
Winter, you had your chance this year. You blew it. Now scram. It’s Spring’s turn.
